Delete Your Thrum Account

Short version: Delete your account right from Settings inside the Thrum app — it's immediate and permanent, no waiting period. Can't get into the app? Email us and we'll do it for you.
Delete your account in the app
- Open Thrum and sign in, if you aren't already.
- Tap your profile picture in the top corner to open the profile menu.
- Tap Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Tap Yes, delete my account to confirm.
That's it — your account and data are deleted immediately. There's nothing further to confirm by email, and no grace period during which the request can be undone.
Can't open the app?
Email thrummoviefinder@gmail.com from the address associated with your account (or tell us the email/name on the account) and ask us to delete it. We'll confirm once it's done.
What gets deleted
- Your profile — name, email, and account info
- Your swipe and match history
- Notes and reactions you wrote
- Your device's push notification token
- Any Decide Right Now votes or title proposals you made
- Taste Compatibility cards tied to your account
If you'd created a shared pairing with a partner or family group, deleting your account works like leaving that pairing rather than deleting it out from under them — their own data, notes, and matches stay intact.
What's retained
Nothing beyond what's legally required. Deletion is immediate and permanent — there's no retention period held back "just in case."
